This Girl Has My Heart

In today's world we are obsessed with celebrities and models. We're always searching for the next "It" girl. And I'm just as bad as the rest. I'm in love. Chanel Iman has been my favorite supermodel ever since I saw her in a 2006 issue of TeenVogue, back when she was in her early teens.

I fell in love with her gorgeous skin, dark hair, and her cute smile. She's African American and Korean, and being a fellow Asian, how could I not love her? Her amazingly long legs and talent have gotten her far even though she is a minority and the fashion world can be cruel and stereotypical.

Chanel's walked for Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Anna Sui, Stella McCartney, Vera Wang and plenty of other influential designers. Along with Ali Michaels and Karlie Kloss, Chanel is one of the most popular American supermodels.

I love her. I can't help it. Over the years she hasn't gotten scarily thin, she always looks good, and seems to be a genuinely nice person. I'm so happy that she's both black and Asian (one of my all time favorite combinations) and is still successful without using her ethnicity as a cry for pity. If I could have anyone model my clothes, it'd be her, even though I'd have to make them about ten times longer!
